No photo, but I suppose the following brief bio will do.

By profession, I'm a classical philologist (look it up) from Nebraska, but for 27 years I've made my living as a systems administrator for Human Services.  I've served six terms as Chief Steward of Local 151, six as President, and I'm in my eighth term as Vice-President, an office that suits me because one is rarely asked to do anything except talk.  I suppose I got involved with the Union because I despise the employer slightly more than I despise everybody else.
