My name is Dawn Flores and I have been a union member in Local 151 since 1989. I have worked in both Social Services and the old Admin Division of CHS.  I have held many positions in the Union as a steward, treasurer, president, and now Chief Steward. I enjoy helping my fellow employees navigate through issues that occur in the workplace. I have been involved in lots of internal activities to educate other union members to all the great benefits of belonging to a union.  In addition to my local union activities, I have been active in many ways outside of our local and have served on the Council 5 Executive Board helping to strengthen our union both locally and on the national level by participating as a delegate at conventions, working and contributing financially to political campaigns, and growing my network of union friends throughout Minnesota. As I wind down my career here at Ramsey County, I am actively mentoring others to carry on the traditions of our union and make it stronger than ever.
